ALL STUDENTS MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE IN ALL SCHEDULED CLASSES AND

STUDY HALLS ON ALL DAYS

Attendance Expectations

  • All students must be in attendance in all scheduled classes and studyhalls on all days.
  • Should parents choose to call their student out of a studyhall period it will count as one of their ten (10) parent days for the year. If the ten parent days have  been used the absence would be unexcused.
  • Students must stay in class for the entire period. If leaving for a medical appointment they need to have their pass in hand before going to their exam.  Students will not be allowed to leave because they have finished with their exam/presentation.
  • Any student making any exam switch must fill out the proper form with their teacher prior to their exam time. Forms can be obtained in the main office. Completing the form ensures attendance is accurate.
  • The Attendance Office will not interrupt an exam to get a student out of the room because they are finished with their exam.
  • Parents cannot excuse their student from an exam or  class because they are done with their work or presentation. Having students observe the presentations of their peers is an important part of the learning process. Parent calls to excuse a student for a period in which an exam is taking place will result in an unexcused absences unless the exam change form has been filled out with the teacher ahead of time.
