Kelly Jurasewicz

Welcome! My name is Kelly Jurasewicz and I am a full-time School Counselor at Oregon Middle School.  This is my second year with the Oregon District and my second year as a School Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Communications from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point in 2014, and my Master of Arts in Counseling from Lakeland University in 2017.  I feel so blessed to be working in the Oregon School District where I can help students navigate school, set and reach goals, and grow both socially and academically. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family, taking photographs, and painting.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions/concerns specific to your child about academics, social/emotional concerns, or career questions.  Additionally, we partner with outside community agencies to provide both individual and small group counseling opportunities for our students at OMS. You can reach out to me to learn more information about those options.  I look forward to working with you and your child to make this year successful!

Kit Laibly

Hello OMS Families! My name is Kit Laibly and I am one of the school counselors here at OMS. I help to proactively support your learners on their exciting, yet often challenging, middle school journey to help them be high-school ready.  I attended UW-LaCrosse where I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Therapeutic Recreation and Recreation Management with an Emphasis in Psychology and Lakeland College where I received my Masters in School Counseling. I also have extensive training in Restorative Justice practices and enjoy helping young people learn better ways to navigate their way through conflict. The best part of my work is helping students to develop leadership skills,  advocacy skills, and to find (and use) their voice in proactive ways. This is my second year at OMS after 19 years working in the Madison Metropolitan School District and I'm so happy to be part of the OMS Team!

As the School Social Worker for the Oregon Middle and High School I am excited to work with students, staff and families. I have practiced school social work in the elementary setting as well as middle and high school since 2001.  My goal is to support students' overall wellbeing and provide resources to families so students can learn and thrive in school.  This may include providing individual or group counseling, connecting families to local resources and helping to reduce barriers to student learning. I look forward to fostering relationships with parents and students while building connections between school, home and community services. I serve as the AODA coordinator, Student Assistance Program Coordinator and Keeping Everyone You know Safe (KEYS) club advisor.
