Prairie View Elementary Traffic Flow Procedures

Arrival & Departure

• Morning arrival is from 7:35 - 7:50 a.m.; afternoon pickup is from 2:50 - 3:05 p.m.
• Turn right directly into the parking area from Soden Drive and proceed to the far right-side aisle.
• You may select either traffic loop 1 or 2 (whichever line is shorter); students can be dropped off anywhere along the curbside drop off zone; staff will be on sidewalks directing students safely into school.
• Students may ONLY exit vehicles in the curbside drop off zone via the passenger side of the car.
• If you must exit your vehicle, please park your car in the lot; exiting your vehicle for any reason within the curbside drop off zone is NOT permitted.
• To be as efficient as possible, please stay alert & refrain from using cell phones during drop-off, follow directions from the parking attendant and pull all the way forward. Additionally, please do not block residential driveways on Soden Dr.
• NOTE: if you are a returning PVE family, note that arrival and departure traffic flow will follow the same pattern; there is no longer a different traffic flow during dismissal.

Building Entry

• All kindergarten students and 1st-4th grade students who chose to eat school breakfast will enter PVE through the main entrance (Door #1).
• 1st-4th grade students who are not eating breakfast and arrive between 7:35-7:45 can line up at the main entrance or proceed to the playground area.
• Any students arrived after the first bell (7:45 am) will enter through Door #1
• Any adult who must enter the building must do so through the main entrance (Door #1) and follow our safety procedures, including showing a driver’s license.

Llegada Salida

• La llegada por la mañana es de 7:35 a 7:50 a. m.; la recogida por la tarde es de 2:50 p. m. a 3:05 p. m.
• Gire a la derecha directamente hacia el área de estacionamiento desde Soden Drive y continúe hasta el pasillo del extremo derecho.
• Puede seleccionar el bucle de tráfico 1 o 2 (la línea que sea más corta); se puede dejar a los estudiantes en cualquier lugar a lo largo de la zona de descenso junto a la acera; el personal estará en las aceras dirigiendo a los estudiantes de manera segura a la escuela.
• Los estudiantes SÓLO pueden salir de los vehículos en la zona de descenso junto a la acera por el lado del pasajero del automóvil.
• Si debe salir de su vehículo, estacione su automóvil en el estacionamiento; NO está permitido salir de su vehículo por ningún motivo dentro de la zona de entrega en la acera.
• Para ser lo más eficiente posible, manténgase alerta y absténgase de usar teléfonos celulares durante la entrega, siga las instrucciones del encargado del estacionamiento y avance todo el camino. Además, no bloquee los accesos residenciales en Soden Dr.

Entrada al edificio

• Todos los estudiantes de kínder y de 1to a 4to grado que optaron por desayunar en la escuela ingresarán a PVE por la entrada principal (Puerta # 1).
• Los estudiantes de 1ro a 4to grado que no desayunen y lleguen entre las 7:35 y las 7:45 pueden hacer fila en la entrada principal o dirigirse al área de juegos.
• Cualquier estudiante que llegue después de la primera campana (7:45 a. m.) ingresará por la puerta #1.
• Cualquier adulto que deba ingresar al edificio debe hacerlo por la entrada principal (puerta #1) y seguir nuestros procedimientos de seguridad, incluida la presentación de una licencia de conducir.
