Shelbey Deegan

My name is Shelbey Deegan and I am one of two professional school counselors at Forest Edge Elementary School. I collaborate with Aubrie Premo to carry out comprehensive school counseling programming for our entire FES student body. This includes teaching social-emotional learning (SEL) in classrooms, planning and implementing small group counseling using students identified by data and referrals, individual counseling, and referring students to outside mental health services. I absolutely love getting to know students and families and am so grateful to do this work. Please reach out with any questions or concerns you may have about your student or about our counseling program at FES.

Michelle Kretschman

I am the district’s Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Coach for PreK-6th grade. Before entering this role, I served as a special education teacher for over 20 years in diversified settings. The focus of the SEL Coach is increasing the internal capacity of OSD educators to meet the academic and social/emotional needs of our learners through: partnering with OSD educators in creating personalized, responsive classroom and school environments, as well as facilitating multiple types of professional learning opportunities in alignment with our instructional vision, data-determined needs, and OSD values.

My focus is integrating social/emotional competencies into tier 1 instruction.  Areas of focus will be developed collaboratively with the administrators and student services staff with a goal of consistency across the buildings and social emotional wellness for all students with a whole child focus. I have deep roots within the OSD community and have two children who attend OSD schools.
