I am a Social Emotional Learning Coach for Grades 7 through 12. I have served as a classroom teacher, Math Interventionist, and Positive Behavior Interventions &  Support Coach for over 20 years in the Madison Metropolitan School District and the last seven years here in the Oregon School District. In my current role I work with OSD educators to help promote students’ social, emotional, behavioral and academic learning. To learn more about Social Emotional Learning in the Oregon School District visit www.OregonSD.org/SEL

Here at OHS Mr. Ashmore and I worked with a student group to create our Panther PRIDE guidelines (Positivity, Responsibility, Involvement, Development, Empathy) and our OHS matrix of expected behaviors for our classrooms, common areas and activities. In my coaching role, I get to work with student and staff teams to reinforce these OHS guidelines and Social Emotional Learning skills, and create school-wide Panther Connections
lessons as well as Panther Vision videos. I am also one of our Hope Squad and Pride Crew advisors, and get to work collaboratively with others to facilitate professional learning opportunities and resources that are aligned with our instructional vision, needs and OSD values. I am excited to be part of the OHS team!
