Superintendent Search
The Oregon School District Board of Education recently announced the selection of Dr. Shannon Anderson as the District's next superintendent after conducting a national search process. The Board engaged McPherson & Jacobson, LLC - a nationally recognized firm specializing in Superintendent searches - to facilitate the search process. A significant part of the search process included engagement with families, staff, students, and community members.
Dr. Anderson Selected as Next Superintendent
Dr. Anderson will begin superintendent duties on July 1, 2026.
Dr. Anderson began her career as an art and English teacher in the Verona Area School District, where she taught for 14 years. She joined the Oregon School District in 2009 and has served in numerous capacities, including Oregon High School Associate Principal, Oregon Middle School Associate Principal and Head Principal, Summer School Principal, and Director of Student Services.
It is the honor of my professional career to serve as the next superintendent. I am deeply committed to giving back to this amazing school district and community, where I raised my very own children. I’m excited to build on the great work that has been done and look forward to this new role.”

Beyond her work in the OSD, Dr. Anderson teaches classes at UW-Madison and Edgewood College, and serves on the Oregon Area Food Pantry Board of Directors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College, along with two Master’s degrees and Doctorate in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis from UW-Madison.
