2023 Summer Semester Program: July 6 - July 28

  • The Summer Semester general session for students in 4K - Grade 8 will run from Thursday, July 6 - Friday, July 28. The goals of our summer program are to promote a love of learning, support continuous growth and to maintain connections with students. Courses will be offered in-person at Oregon High School.  Registration and planning information is below. Use your student's grade for the 2022-2023 school year when planning and registering for classes.

Planning & Registration Notes

    1. Everyone must create a new account in the summer semester registration system (even if you've registered in prior years).
      • See instructions here: English / Spanish
      • You will need a student ID number to create an account. Student ID numbers can be found by logging into Infinite Campus; additionally, all families received an email to all OSD families with the ID number on April 12.
    2. View available summer course options (use your student's grade for the 2022-2023 school year when planning and registering for classes).
    3. Register for classes beginning Thursday, April 20 at 8:00 p.m.
    4. Keep checking back if the courses you'd like are not available on the first night of registration - spots become available as people modify their schedules.

  • If you require bus transportation, please sign up for the bus stop that is closest to your house in the summer registration system. You can find the summer bus schedule below. Note: drop off times will likely be delayed for the first few days as students learn the summer bus routine.

    • April 20: Summer class registration begins (8:00 p.m.)
    • May 20:  Summer class registration ends (8:00 p.m.)
    • May 22: Summer swimming lesson registration opens for district residents (6:00 p.m.)
    • May 24: Summer swimming lesson registration opens for out-of-district residents (6:00 p.m.)

Getting Ready for Summer Semester

  • Here are some tips to help your student get ready for summer school and make the first day as easy as possible:

    • Review the Summer Semester Family Guide (Spanish), which contains important logistics and details about our summer program.
    • Review your student's schedule in the Summer Semester Registration System, (after logging in, select "Schedule") 
    • Find your class rooms ahead of time!  Visit the high school June 26 - 30 between 8:00am-4:00pm to tour the school and find your student’s classrooms. 
    • Complete the Summer School Backpack Scheduler (below) and place it in your student's backpack to help staff efficiently access your student's schedule;
    • If you must enter the building, complete the security pre-registration process by June 23 using this form.

  • The Summer Semester Backpack Scheduler (Spanish) is available to help plan and organize your student's schedule. Placing the schedule in your student's backpack will aid staff in helping students find their classes.
