Building for Our Future

  • The Oregon School District has a longstanding history of working together with the community to plan for our future. Together, we have been able to proactively plan for the needs of our District into the future. By passing the November 6, 2018 Referendum, the community has approved the plan to proactively address population growth in the Oregon School District through 2030.

    The Plan: A Two-Phased Approach
After months of examining data, holding workshops and listening to community feedback and focus groups, the Board selected a two-phased plan:

    • Phase 1: Build a K-6th grade elementary school, that would open for the 2020-21 school year

    • Phase 2: Build a 6-8th grade middle school estimated to be around 2024 and reconfigure the following:
      • The three K-4 elementary schools convert to K-5
      • K-6 elementary school converts to K-5
      • Rome Corners Intermediate converts to K-5 elementary school
      • Oregon Middle School converts to a 6-8 building

New School Locations

  • Phase 1: Elementary School (2020-2021)

The new elementary school will be located in the Terravessa development in the northern part of the school district. The new school is scheduled to open for the 2020-2021 school year.
