ORCHARDS Study Update
Due to the COVID-19, study staff will not be conducting ORCHARDS visits at this time. If you have a sick child, you may still be eligible to participate in the family study by calling 608-265-3164. There are safe distribution and pickup procedures in place and your family will receive a $50 gift card for participating.
The Oregon School District is proud to partner with the Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development to present "Why Talk About Racism?" This free community event will be held virtually on July 28 from 7-9 PM. Registration is required.
The Oregon School District Board of Education and Administrative team has issued a statement on racism and plans for action in our school community.
Darci Jarstad-Krueger has been selected as the Assistant Director of Learning & Student Achievement. She will begin her duties at the District Office starting July 1, 2020.
Cyndi Olander will become Principal at Rome Corners Intermediate School on July 1, 2020. Cyndi is a friendly face to 5th and 6th grade students, as she previously served as an Administrative Intern at Brooklyn Elementary and Prairie View Elementary.
Anna Seidenstricker will become the Principal at Brooklyn Elementary School starting July 1, 2020. She is currently serving as Administrative Intern at BKE and previously taught 2nd grade at the school.
The Oregon School District (OSD) has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. This is the second consecutive year that OSD has received this designation.
The votes are in and Oregon School District students chose Forest Edge Elementary as the name of the District's 4th elementary school that is being built in the City of Fitchburg. We are delighted with the choice they have made for the name of the school.
