Based on feedback from previous years, we are offering three different course schedules for the Technology Integration Project in 2008-2009. Please note that you must select one course schedule and stick with it. Class meetings are not mix-and-match.

Option 1: Full year; grad credit (aka "TIP FY")
This the the traditional course sequence. It is spaced over a full school year so that participants have time to learn, apply, reflect, refine, and re-apply what they learn. Option 2: August - December; grad credit (aka "TIP fall")
This option has a two day "boot camp" in August to accelerate the content acquisition necessary to implement a revised curriculum unit in the fall semester. Classes are held September - December, and all work must be completed prior to December 15. Class time is outside of regular work hours, and graduate credit through Edgewood College is available for an additional cost.

Class times are 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm on the following dates, except where noted otherwise:

  • August 12, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

  • December 9

Option 3: Full year; during work hours; no grad credit (aka "in-year")
This course sequence is provided for those who are not able to participate in classes offered in options 1 or 2 due to schedule conflicts. Course meetings will be spaced over the full school year so that participants have time to learn, apply, reflect, refine, and re-apply what they learn. Class meeting times will occur on some inservice days and early release days, as well as some regular work days when a substitute will be provided. There is no graduate credit available for this option. Funds for additional technology in the classroom may be less than for participants in options 1 or 2. The class schedule and total number of class hours will be determined after enrollment is complete. (It will depend on sub availability and coordination with inservice plans.)
