Technology Integration Project
The Technology Integration Project is a professional development course in which teachers create student-centered, meaningful, relevant, technology curriculum units; engage in critical analysis of their instructional practices; collaborate with colleagues to improve professional practice, demonstrate mastery of the National Education Technology Standards, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow educators. Optional graduate credit is available from a partner university, and district workshop credit is also available.

Participants who have successfully completed the Technology Integration Project are eligible to apply for "TIP 2," a subsequent course in which educators engage in online, collaborative work to increase their professional knowledge about approaches to student-centric, networked learning.

Teacher testimonials

Here is what some past participants say about the TIP class.

"I have taught in the classroom for 27 years.  TIP has influenced my instruction more than any class or workshop I have ever attended....  This class is a MUST for any educator who wants to integrate technology in the classroom."

Dale Schulz
4th Grade Teacher
Brooklyn Elementary School

"The TIP class allowed me to explore a number of different technologies and gave me the time to investigate how I could integrate them into my classes.  Integrating technology in my classes engages my students, excites them about their learning, and allows them to see and do mathematics that they can't see and do without technology."

Dave Ebert
Mathematics Teacher
Oregon High School

"I had no idea how much the TIP class would change my approach to instruction as a teacher. Technology is no longer an extra activity, but rather an innovating and integrating tool that makes my teaching much more engaging and worthwhile. My students have thoroughly benefited by learning through technology, and I plan to continue integrating it daily within my instruction."
