I. There shall be three levels of competition.
A. Varsity
B. Junior Varsity
C. Freshmen
II. Schedules
A. A double round robin schedule will be used.
1. The Junior Varsity and Varsity shall be scheduled on the same day and site.
2. Freshmen baseball will have a separate schedule.
B. Beginning in 2001-02, Badger
North and Badger South will have
separate divisional championships. A
school will play each team in its division twice with single games
scheduled. Starting in the 2009 season
when byes occur the northern schools will be scheduled to play the corresponding
southern school on the first round with home site being reversed in the second round.
The JV and Varsity shall be scheduled on the same day and site. Schools will play
the same school in the first round as they did in the second round. One baseball
double header will be scheduled. (8/13/2007)
A. The Conference Commissioner or designate (Assistant Commissioner) will hire all varsity officials for conference games. No umpire shall be hired to officiate a Varsity game involving the school that he or she works for. The home team shall hire JV & Freshman umpires.
B. Games will be seven innings.
C. Single games will begin at 5:00 p.m. Saturday doubleheaders will start at 11:00 a.m.
D. A game called for any reason where a winner cannot be determined will be treated as a suspended game. It will be re-scheduled from the point of suspension by mutual agreement by Athletic Directors and coaches.
E. Each team is allowed reasonable infield/outfield warm-up time.
F. Home team shall call the media to report results.
G. Conference will play Ten Run Rule for J.V. and Freshmen contests or terminate the game after two hours if it is not tied.
H. J.V. and Freshmen doubleheaders will be two 7-inning games or play until two-hour limit is reached.
I. Diamond baseballs will be used for conference play.
IV. Procedure for Postponement
A. Rescheduling of postponed games should be left to the discretion of the two schools athletic directors with coaches involved. It is desirable to reschedule as soon as possible.
B. Postponement notification
1. Weekday games - Notify by 2:00.
2. Saturday games - Notify by 9:00 a.m.

Officials fees will be paid for baseball and softball
games when a game is cancelled due to weather conditions with the stipulation
that they could not be communicated with prior to the game when they still
travel to the site of the game. (4/19/06) If officials can be hired for the
makeup game generally the home team will pay mileage for there trip.
V. Championship
A. A Varsity champion(s) shall be determined by the won and lost record.
B. Awards
1. The Conference Champion(s) receive a trophy.
2. All-Conference selections by approved policies. Select 2 teams, 1st team selections receive medals, folders and certificates. 2nd team selections receive folders and certificates.
3. The All-Conference team will consist of 2 pitchers, 1 catcher, 3 outfielders, 4 infielders, and a DH/Utility player.
VI. Meetings
A. W.I.A.A. rules interpretation
B. Conference coaches meeting will be scheduled on the Sunday before the week of the WIAA sectional tournament games. (6/09/2004)
