STUDENT FEES

High School Parking Fee

High school seniors and juniors are eligible to receive a parking permit for reserved student parking areas.  Students will be charged $25.00 for a parking permit per semester of parking.  Juniors and seniors may register for a parking permit in a manner determined by the administration.

Students must pay the fee at the registration time in order to secure a permit.  Students will be expected to park in designated student areas.  When students park in a non-designated area, they will receive a $10.00 fine issued by the school.

Students that violate the expectations related to student parking will lose their privilege to park in the student lot.  The expense of the parking permit will not be returned to the student.  High school students without a student parking permit who park in designated student areas or commit other parking violations will receive a $10.00 parking fine from the school.  They may also lose their privilege to obtain a student parking permit in the future.

All funds received from the sale of parking permits and parking fines will fund expenses associated with the enforcement of the above policy.  This will include wages and fringe benefits of an educational assistant to monitor the school parking, materials and supplies.

High school administration is granted the authority to designate the use of parking areas on school grounds, determine the number of parking permits and the manner in which they are sold, assess fines for parking violations and serve as final authority to fines that are issued.

Textbook Fines

Students are responsible for the care of the books that were issued to them by the school.  Students will not be charged a book fine if the book they used show normal wear in that it will be able to be used the following school year.  Students will be charged the full replacement cost for a book that is either lost, or damaged such that it will not be able to be used the following school year.  Students will be charged half the replacement price if the book is damaged, but can be repaired to be used for at least one year.

The cost of the book fines will be determined by the building administration based on current prices for the given books.  If the book is scheduled for replacement the following school year, no fines will be charged.

Driver's Education

A fee of $135.00 will be assessed for Driver's Education.  Payment is due before classroom instruction begins.
