This statement reflects our commitment to each and every RCI student’s success as a learner. As parents, teachers, faculty, staff, and community members, we all play a part in ensuring that school-related activities support this mission. And kids have a responsibility for their own success too.
The mission of the Rome Corners Intermediate School is to create a safe and nurturing community, which honors the unique spirit of 5th and 6th graders, while differentiating the curriculum so that each child is a successful learner.
A vision statement provides a sense of direction for an organization, asking—if we are true to our mission or purpose, what might we become in the future? RCI’s vision statement should provide a picture of our school’s future that motivates all of us to work together to make it a reality.
At Rome Corners Intermediate School we envision:
§ An inviting school with a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment, where students and staff feel valued, challenged and supported in their academic, social and emotional needs to create life long learners.
§ A mutually supportive relationship among school, parents, and community.
