Spanish 1 is an everyday course that allows students to complete their first full year of foreign language in the middle school.  If students do well in the course, they are able to move on to Spanish 2 next year. 

Spanish 1 covers a combination of vocabulary, grammar and cultural concepts throughout the year.  Students will be able to apply numbers up to 1000 in a variety of situations, as well as use conversational phrases and questioning.  Students will also describe people and places and communicate actions using the present tense of verbs.
