Open Enrollment

Whether your child is a budding musician, an academic achiever, or rising athletic star, the Oregon Schools will help build success. With a full suite of academic, athletic, musical and extracurricular options, every student can develop to his or her potential. Located amid family farms, but just minutes away from Madison, families here enjoy small-town hospitality and metropolitan convenience. 

Wisconsin's inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend school districts other than the one in which they live.   Students in 5-year-old kindergarten through grade 12 may apply to participate. 

The open enrollment period for the 2009-10 school year was February 2-20, 2009.  Please plan ahead for 2010-11.  Late applications will not be accepted for any reason. 

You can apply online (recommended) through the Department of Public Instruction website - http://dpi.wi.gov/sms/psctoc.html .  This page also has basic information about Open Enrollment, forms, etc.   Paper applications can be obtained through the Department of Public Instruction or Oregon School District.

Kindergarten Registration

The regular kindergarten registration is held in January.  Please call the school district at 835-4033 to make arrangements to register. If for some reason (birth date, private/home school, moving, etc) your child will not be attending kindergarten in the Oregon School District, please contact the above number. Also, if you know of new families with kindergarten students who have moved into the district or families who have not received a letter of invitation, please help by asking them to contact our office.
